Frankincense

Frankincense is an old French word “franc encens” meaning, high-quality Incense. This incense comes from the resin from various trees but mainly from the genus Boswellia in the family Burseraceae.

I only offer Frankincense types coming from various parts of the world famously known for their high quality.

The Hojari resin I offer comes in four different grades. All are high quality and selected by color. The clearer the color the higher the grade. Grade 1 is the highest grade and IV the lowest

The Frankincense is intended to be warmed and heated on an incense burner.

Besides enjoying Frankincense aromas it is used in both Ayurvedic medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine, and in many local folk remedies throughout Africa the Middle East, and South America
